COMMON seeks to evolve capitalism

“Consumers are the largest economic group in the economy, affecting and affected my almost every public & private economic decision. Two-thirds of all spending in the economy is by consumers. But they are the only important group in the economy who are not effectively organized, whose views are often not heard.”

COMMON is a brand developed by Alex Bogusky that is community designed, community owned, and community directed. It is a single open source brand — a living network — for rapidly prototyping many progressive businesses that unleash creativity to solve social problems.

It’s an inspiring idea because it calls out the flaws of capitalism and seeks to resolve them by disrupting the models we have accepted for doing business and being a consumer.
